If so, I'm no help. I always have lucid dreams, though I'm not sure how I do it. The only thing I can't control is when I wake up. Otherwise, it's just like I'm actually conscious within it.
It tends to make nightmares a whole lot more terrifying, though..

But on a serious note, tried but have not yet been able to lucid dream.
There are a few guides on the net to help.. not sure if PsiPog has it, give it a try

i use to always get this one dream where i would be waiting for a train in the subway, then some how i'd fall into the tracks and be electricuted by the third rail - which is the main conductor for most transit system and will instantly kill you if it you touch it.
anyways, after i get shocked i would be sent to this room which is like a queue for all people who recently died. then i'd usually wake up.
one time when i fell onto the tracks, i thought to myself "this is my dream, this isn't real." and i woke up.
i'm pretty sure this counts as a lucid dream, since i was in a state of dreaming and being aware that it was not reality

Now I have similar dreams, except that I am in my room and their are evil spirits around me, and everything is SO similar to real life. I turn on the TV, and as soon as I start to believe that the spirits are leaving, I wake up, and repeat the exact same process of believing the spirits are there, and then turning on the TV.
Then again...I have some good lucid dreams too.

More luck with lucid dreaming than with astral projection; I did it a bit whilst I fasted. Just read up on sleep phases, ie REM, which is the stage in which dreaming is possible. Basically, through out the night, you go through sleep cycles. Stage 1, 2, Deep Sleep (3-4) and REM. About 25% of your sleep time is spent in REM, and the largest cycle of it is during the early morning, which is why most dreams occur in the early hours, just before you wake up.
What I did was wake up at around 4:30am, stay awake for around 45-60 mins and then go back to sleep. It's not as if I was successful everyday, far from it, but it was far more often than usual.
There are lots of good resources on the internet, check it out.

Lucid dreaming is when you can bring yourself to consciousness within a dream (or go into a dream conscious from the start), and stay within the dream.

Same here. I have them, but they just happen. And I CAN control if I WANT to wake up, just not if I don't wanna wake up

Anyway, I used to be able to lucid dream, but I haven't really tried recently. A lot of my dreams are fun so I just let them do whatever.
