You guys are such adorble little sleep-deprived things.

In high school I would go to bed from 11-12 and get a nice 7 hours of sleep, and feel bad for myself if I got less than that. Now in college any chunk of more than six hours is a godsend.

Hmm... during midsems week I pulled an all-nighter writing my bio proposal and figured that I had been awake for 36 hours with a total of about 3 hours of sleep in the previous 48 hour period, but that was the worst I've been when I actually was forced to function. Then last week I almost shot everyone in my dorm as I totalled about 13 hours of sleep from Sunday morning to Wednesday night. I got a C on my calc exam on Wednesday too ;_; that's when I decided screw everything else, I was sleeping.

My favorite thing though is how messed up everyone's sleep schedules are. We were hanging in my room at 12 the other night and thinking of something to do and Abbie was like "Hey, maybe later tonight we could go to Wal-mart and then that 24-hour sex shop that's like half an hour away" and it was feasible, go not having a curfew! also last night Abbie was in Des Moines and Dyl and I just bummed around my room talking about jobs and majors and shit until 3, when my floor finally started quieting down from a party down the hall, and then we zoned out to Dave Matthews until 5:30 in the fucking morning, it was GREAT.

I have very long-winded posts, sorry, but the aformentioned events of last night are leaving me with around 4 hours of sleep in the last 48, sooo I'm sleeping now. smile.gif

I once didn't sleep for three days because I was terrified that if I shut my eyes the German Soilders would come get me. I'd been made to watch Anne Frank in the day and it terrified me, I was in Year 4, I can't remember how old that made me. I used to sit up and read this one beano comic over and over and over, I didn't even like beano >-<.

Anyway, nowadays I don't get tired but my parents still send me to bed, I actually find I'm most tired when I've slept because I don't want to get up and then I'm groggy, so I vote don't sleep ever! tongue.gif.

My awake escapade has ended, I passed out going up the stairs and got a good 4 hours of sleep.

Never needed it, never will. I have stayed up for long periods of time, regardless; I don't count and I'm not particulary proud.

I sleep like 13 hours a day on weekends ohmy.gif.

blink.gif Woaah, oversleeping. Seriously, cut down. tongue.gif

I get a good 8 1/2 hours sleep every day, regardless of whether it's a weekday or weekend. And its perfect for me. I have enough energy to go through the whole day without yawning and feeling tired at all, right until I go to sleep again.

As for staying awake, I totally fail at it. 30 hours deprivation is all it takes to subdue me. tongue.gif

Sleep sucks for me lately. It's more like a chore since I'm sick I know I need it. Sometimes its easy for me to just lay on my bed and pass out. But theres always something bothering me. Whether its my strep throat or my neck or a migraine. Its fucking annoying, I miss back when I wasn't sick and I could just pass out on my bed with a happy face and happy dreams of the care bears in the fluffy cloud land sad.gif

Does anyone know much into sleep information here? Cuz I got a question.

Does your lack of sleep add up? Say you sleep like under 6 hours for a month and sleep 10+ hours the next 2 weeks. Will your body still be feelin some lack of sleep or will you be good as new? Meanin not tired as shit when you come home from school.

    Hallucinations yet?

no.. I fainted as I was getting out of the shower.. I decided I should start eating and sleeping again.
Because I usually come up with random ass theories to explain why we do shit we do.. and one was that we let the clock rule our lives.. and that we all get hungry because it's mid afternoon, or sleepy because it's late... so I mixed the times up on all the clocks in my house and then just.. lived. (Explains the sleep part.. I never got tired)

I had another theory that in America, we eat a lot more than necessary, and I wanted to test physical limits and how they effected you without food.

For the record, I'm pretty sure I was completely drug free at the time... although it sounds like I was on a meth/coke binge, I'm pretty sure I was clean.

    biggrin.gif

blink.gif I get tired in the day 1we8.gif I NEED sleep xD

It will affect you because of muscle recovery. Maybe you'll have enough energy to hit the next day, but your muscles won't have had the time to repair and renew like they should. You need about 4 hours DEEP SLEEP for that, and you certainly wont be in deep sleep stages for the whole 3 hours you go to sleep (you'll spend about half that time). blink.gif
