Does anybody know of a free adware remover? I did a search and it came up with about 300 different free removal sites...I just need to know of a reputable one.

Thanks for any help you can give!

the BEST  program out there is spy sweeper by Webroot, it has all these different sheilds that prevent adware, cookies, spyware, and more from even being installed on ur comp...its a pay-for program but I'm sure there are ways around that :p

edit: I think there is a shareware version

There's a 30 day trial then you have to pay, it's the same for all Webroot software. But AdAware is the best way to go.

I'd actually recommend spy sweeper over ad-aware, but be sure to turn off windows shell integration or it'll cause xp to crash.
