It's obvious he didn't mean to do it on purpose, and I'm sure the guilt of accidently killing his child is more then enough punishment for this guy. He needs help fast.

What the guy did was really terrible, even sickening. He clearly knows it was wrong though, or he probably would've tried to weasel his way out of it. Therefore, he can be helped. Shame that whackos like Jack Thompson are going to run with the fact that he was playing a game at the time, and have a field day with this incident.

I just vote we should have more useful activities in prisons for when the prisoners aren't being rehabilitated, rather than the death penalty. Whoo forced manual labor XD At least they'll be giving something back to society that way, rather than sucking up our tax dollars to sit around and do nothing. Costs way more to put them to death anyway, and that option's morality is questionable.
