Yes, so, I was in London the other day, meeting some friends for lunch and we happened to stop by the Apple Store...

Now, just a few days ago I was reading an ezine/blog doodah, called lifehacker, where I picked up how to put iPod into DeBug mode.

Here you can see the general layout of the store.
Sort of open plan, with posh little "test the iPod" displays...

No doubt you can see where this is going
So we have a whole table of iPods now in DeBug mode:

Follow that up by a hasty retreat to a convenient viewing spot on the second floor balcony, and we have a good ten minutes of amusing viewing while my friend hunts for iPod socks. Yes, he's a trend-whore.

I fixed them all before we left though... just in case the staff were as moronic as they appeared. None of them noticed a problem...

I say the only nerdy part is returning them back to normal. I would've sat and watched =P Or had a friend go up and try to use it, then complain and say the store was displaying faulty material.

would of been funnier if some guy bought 1 ... reminds me of a practical joke i did ... i had these chocolate rocks and a boy i hate asked for 1 so i gave him a real rock... got him good

Zulf, it's easy...

You hold menu and select to reset it, then when it turns off, switch from menu to the rewind button and keep holding those two until it goes into debug mode.

Would have been better if a customer had asked for assistance help on why it was being so weird and everyone started pondering over it or something, that would have been good. What does an ipod in debug mode look like though? I couldn't really understand from your pictures.

(p.s We need to teach you how to continue a practical joke, sure you watched for 10 minutes, but you dont set them back, you leave it to reek havoc for plenty of people, becasue, I dont think anyone but the person who made the ipod, knows how to fix it, becasue honestly, apple employess are stupid...)
