It seems everytime I run firefox, it always connects with my proxy that had been manually set. Do I have to clear those boxes so firefox will stop automatically connecting from it from when I run it? Also the proxy came from a proxy generating program called Hide Ip, but it isnt supposed to set my browser through a proxy unless I actually run the program, which I am not.

Its not that big of a problem since I can just manually change connection to direct but I don't want to have to do it everytime I open a FF window and it sometimes blocks sites for me.(its a saudi arabian proxy nd it sometimes blocks certains sites.....nd no it is not because those sites are porn)

Anyone know how to fix my problem. I dont want a jihad on me for accidently goin on a christian site through the proxy.

you might get errors with FF2 cause its only in the beta phrase...and IE7 is not that bad either...only that for me IE takes a longer time to load...

what i mean was the FF2 which they download might still be in the beta form..like my previous FF2 was still in beta and was terribly unstable till i changed it into the newer released version..
anyway, what version of FF2 are you using? is it 2.0.0.1?

Fasterfox might do the same thing as this:

    QUOTE
1.Type "about:config" into the address bar and hit return. Scroll down and look for the following entries:

    network.http.pipelining network.http.proxy.pipelining network.http.pipelining.maxrequests

Normally the browser will make one request to a web page at a time. When you enable pipelining it will make several at once, which really speeds up page loading.

    2. Alter the entries as follows:

    Set "network.http.pipelining" to "true"

    Set "network.http.proxy.pipelining" to "true"

Set "network.http.pipelining.maxrequests" to some number like 30. This means it will make 30 requests at once.

    3. Lastly right-click anywhere and select New-> Integer. Name it "nglayout.initialpaint.delay" and set its value to "0". This value is the amount of time the browser waits before it acts on information it receives.

    But I do mean that.
