I didn't see anyone post about this movie yet, but I just saw the preview given to me by a friend, and it looks pretty amazing. The story is about the 300 spartan soliders who held the Persian Empire's Army of over 1,000,000 soliders at the battle of Thermopylae and inspired the rest of Greece to stand up and defeat the Persian Army. The movie is based on a graphic novel, so the story line sways a bit from the actual history, but the effects and characters look amazing.

The official movie site is http://300themovie.warnerbros.com/

And the trailers can be found here: http://www.apple.com...lers/wb/300/hd/

The movie opens everywhere in theatres March 9th, 2007. I'll probably be going opening day.

That actually looks pretty cool. I like films set in ancient history, accurate or not, gives me something to pick apart when it's not accurate anyway (well, when I'm feeling bored). You've also indirectly informed me of the name of an actor I adore who's on that list, so whoot!

Saw an advert for it, looks pretty good.

Well it looks pretty far off from actual historical events.. but it does look like an awesome movie.
