whats happening to codex is that we aren't getting any new good members since codex doesn't have as many programs available in comparison to other forums. we have some basic neopets programs, but codex is so restricted with cheating (having maplestory hacking private only//autobuyers only in private.), and upgrades in rank such as private are so difficult new members tend not to bother. not to mention many older members left to other forums, or just went inactive.

i do think it's pretty funny that a website as shitty as gaminggutter is taking codex's members...loooool.

God Gaminggutter is more boring then Codex (is just at the moment for me). I signed up to try and take the piss out of it but found it far too boring to even bother with.

I've had to put up with these topics for 2+ years, each and every one more dire than the last. And guess what? We're still here. Everyone wants to be the doomsayer, and when their prophesy turns rancid, they look like buffoons.

S'ok though. I consider it healthy for these topics to pop up every couple of months

Meh, it is more boring than Codex and I've grown attached to Codex, I'll still post around in other communities but they'll never replace Codex.

As for activity I blame the lack of Privates! That or Codex has hops in activity depending on school/shit happens/closed registrations/government controlling our minds and making us slightly less active then we normally are

He was basically comparing what you are doing, to something that has happened in real life. The "fire" that he is speaking of is you saying "Codex is dead!" which could in fact cause other members to leave because you put that stupid idea into their head. o.o

But hey, you know what it is? Exams are coming soon for MOST of our members if they haven't already plus christmas vacation just got over with. Yes, you aussies still have vacation but the majority of us don't. Codex isn't dying silly, it's been like this over and over and over and it eventually goes back up. I don't see the problem.

I see the same topic brought up once every few months... it's a natural feeling.. we'll be fine..

It's just gotten boring . I still view it every day but the topics are like 'Jesus christ -why- would I want to spend time replying to that?' most of the time. I feel like someone will either be rude to me because I got something wrong or someone will accuse me of spamming because the topic is a bit of fun or that it'll just be a boring topic o-O.

I'unno, I don't think codex is dying, I just think we're in a bit of a rut. Or maybe I'm just in a bit of a rut. It's probably me.

Pretty much the same way I feel. I come to codex and don't see any thing good to post on so I just don't post. Then I'll see one thread that seems tempting so I go in to check it out and its flame or about someone doing some stupid shit that is most likely a lie, so I just don't waste my time telling them about how much they are a douche bag.

Codex isn't dieing. Closed registrations, Mid Terms, school in general, and life in general just gets to people. I am sure that slinky can pull out some statistics about this time in comparison to last year to show that its not much different than then. Maybe even more active. We just need more decent topics that's all. I am sure things will pick up in a few days when red or ali posts that private applications are open. Then everyone and their mom will return and act like they where active the whole time. Codex just needs some small things to shake it up every now and again.

Ah, just give it a few months... we're still in the recession period. We're roughly at the same level as 2005, and a bit lower than 2006. Besides, we're still active enough.
