Ive noticed recently that activeness has decreased alot.

I remember how we use to get at least a Thousand or so posts a day.
I really hate to say it but I think codex is losing life, we are down to at least 400 posts a day.

Everyone leaving has caused other people to leave, then the active members then gone.
I myself havn't been active very lately for various reasons.

Ive just started maplestory again,
So that has caused me to be away from the forums a fair bit.

Im now semi active on another forum, where one of the owners is trying to give me a shot at trial moderator.

And the fact that Neocodex has no active members, or Most of my friends that were on here have left. But still I manage to view neocodex everyday regardless if I post or not, I just check to see whats going on. If theres something interesting that I want to post in ill post. Such as that I-Doser topic.

It might be the cocaine.drg talking but, I hate to see codex like this.
We need to work our way back up.

Otherwise codex with eventually die.

-Harley.

Everything must die. It is inevitable.

Things must die so new things can be born.

But I do not think that Codex will die yet.

Changes need to be made to create activity.

Though I have only been back two weeks so I cannot comment on any decline in activity.

Not that I would know, because its before my time. But people say that around this time the activity is bad because of all the exams and whatnot happening.

Don't forget that registration is closed at the moment, activity will peak again when registrations open and when exams are over etc.

You wana know how you can help codex? Stop yelling "Fire" when theres no fire. You'll make a lot of people believe you and then trample themselves while running out of the movie theater.

    QFE.
Hasnt there been quite a number of this kinda topic in the past year? All about inactivity and so.
Codex might just have hit a rough patch due to circumstances like exams as luke pointed out. But no worry, it'll bounce back soon biggrin.gif

    -Harley.

    Yes everything with die, eventually.

Most of codex's prominent members have either left or become inactive (yes I miss the Discuss topics). We need interesting topics, spammy members and some minor drama to bring our little forum back to the way it used to be. The fact that some of us visit this site everyday keeps the community alive (or so I like to believe).

I don't think gfx clans would bring people back, but they would raise activity in the gfx area. Still a pretty good idea though tongue.gif

It's just gotten boring tongue.gif. I still view it every day but the topics are like 'Jesus christ -why- would I want to spend time replying to that?' most of the time. I feel like someone will either be rude to me because I got something wrong or someone will accuse me of spamming because the topic is a bit of fun or that it'll just be a boring topic o-O.

I'unno, I don't think codex is dying, I just think we're in a bit of a rut. Or maybe I'm just in a bit of a rut. It's probably me.

    Ali's representation of Codex:

This shows that Codex is a continual series of peaks and troughs and is never stable.

*Yawn* Anyway we've had this topic 1000 times and I'd say it has been worse than it is now.

I dont think codex is dying just yet. I mean it will at one point, everything with a begining has an end, but I dunno. Remember at the begining RIGHT RIGHT after the summer ended? Activity dropped like a mofo. That was because people were all busy getting settled into school and adapting to their changes in life.
Activity is dropping now because of all the exams and the sort. Come summer, I can bet ten bucks (sadly its all I have sad.gif ) that everything'll be all normal again. Why? Because right now people are attempting to balance computer, social life, and school. Since school takes up a shitload of time and effort, they dont really have a lot of time for their other two hobbies ( ? ), but in the summer they'll have all day and night to party -and- come on here. -nod-

You just gotta give it time before jumping to conclusions. tongue.gif

There was a big activity spike when I stirred up some e-Drama, want me to do it again? I just need a scapegoat.
