Russian shock at 'gagged' babies

Russian prosecutors are investigating allegations that hospital staff in Yekaterinburg gagged babies because they did not want to hear them crying.

The patient at the hospital in the southern Urals who reported the case heard the children's muffled cries.

She used her mobile phone to film a baby lying in a cot with his mouth taped, while others had dummies taped to their mouths. They are all orphans.

The case, covered widely by Russian media, has caused deep shock.

Russians are used to scandals in the hospital, but this case has touched a raw nerve, says the BBC's Richard Galpin in Moscow.

Lol its another news shot against Russia. Plz dont hurt me russians.

This story though is just wow. Imagine some of the babies gettin like stuffed noses or something and couldn't breathe properly out of their noses. That shit happened to me a couple times when I was sick. Fuckin cruel man.

    LOL, same. *is evil*

    Calls for a baby joke.
How many babies does it take to paint a wall?
Depends how hard you throw them.

Okay, so *serious cough*, I'm just messing around. Although babies do actually annoy me loads, I wouldn't actually ever do that. At such a young age, something like that could probably cause them permanent breathing troubles. Just stop being such shit nurses and control the babies properly.

Poor little things sad.gif. It's probably the kind of thing most people are tempted to do and say it in jest when a baby cries a lot, can't believe this hospital has actually done it. Why did they expect to get away with it? o-O
