QUOTE
[size="2"]Robert William ("Willie") Pickton (b. October 24, 1949)[1] of Port Coquitlam, British Columbia is a third-generation pigfarmer[2] who has been charged[3] with the first degree murders of twenty-six women, many of them prostitutesVancouver's Downtown Eastside. and drug users from
-Wikipedia

He's a serial killer whos currently on trial. He's been charged with 26 murders but on a video tape of him in his prison cell talking to an undercover officer he admited to killing 49 and said his goal was to reach 50. It's kind of messed up, I live probably 20-30 minutes away from Port Coquitlam. There's also a small debate going on whether he actually did Vancouver a service by cleaning up the streets, but the majority of people are sympathetic to the families of the departed.

I did a project on him a year ago - very interesting fellow, the fact he was selling pig meat from pigs that ate prostitutes at one point disturbs my stomache.

It's sad that he won't be getting the death penalty, because that doesn't exist up here. I think he's one of the worst (if not, the worst) serial killer in Canadian history.
