Oh my god.

I had to submit my portfolio yesterday to one of the schools I wanted to go to and I left out two important pieces that were mandatory.

Ring them up? Just say you made a mistake. They'll appreciate it, and aren't inhuman - they know people make mistakes.

I hope they'll let me resubmit it

But this will seriously hurt my chances of getting in
This is one of the most competitive schools in Canada

And even if they do let me submit it, they'll probably mark my stuff even harsher

Dude, just call the school and tell them you left something out. Overnight the stuff if you have to, they have to accept it, can't be that inhuman?

Exactly what you left out I have no idea, but surely the school would let you send it?

What have you got to lose? Just call em and explain what happened calmly I'm sure they will understand . Universities are a lot nicer than people make them out to be .

i always do shit like that but u should just call them they wont think any less of you, they only less of u if ur work u have submitted is total shit but ur work would be good so they will think higher of u, they might even think u have ur a person of character for ringing them up, u never know

I called them up and emailed them also, but they seem to be busy so I hope I will hear from them soon =/

If you receive permission to resubmit, also ask the possibility to have the required things faxed(what are they?), you know if its
fax-able.

I now have a new problem, they probably think I'm cheating now because they said it was actually marked but I never put it inside =/ But the lady said to send them in anyway

Yeah, just don't worry and send it in with maybe a letter or something explaining why they're getting the other part in.

I had a problem like this once, only mine didnt turn out to well for me. Half becuase I was late in telling them, so try to fix any problems what ever they may be as fast a s possible, or it may be to late....

They wouldn't think you were cheating when you rang in to explain immediately and emailed them too. In fact if anything it emphasises that you've made a mistake because you definately intended to put them in there otherwise you wouldn't have marked it down. .

Good to know you got in contact with them, hopefully it'll all sort out.

Unfortunately there's no cure for that one until you find out (that I've discovered anyway). Best of luck though, I sincerely hope you do get in.
