I just started using programs like MTGs and Autoplayers a few days ago, and stupid as that may sound, I'm actually doing that on my main account. So I'd just like to ask if anybody would be so kind as to type up some precautions that should be taken when using programs like these.

Thanks in advance, if my main isn't frozen sometime within the next half year, I'm going to attribute it all to the people who helped here thumbsup.gif

And I take it that we really shouldn't use autorefreshers?

lol, refreshers are an easy way to get banned. If I were you, and I wanted to keep my account for longer than a month, I wouldn't use any specific program more than once a week for a few hours, and I would never overnight anything. I'm not up to date on the programs that are out there, but things like a MTG that used to be okay to overnight, aren't anymore because of some new security measures. Besides that, just use moderation and don't get greedy smile.gif

Anything that involves constant refreshes are usually considered high for freezability. A good technique would be to limit the refresh rate of your program to a reasonable setting so that the program seems almost human-like... it's better safe than sorry I guess. It's why 95% of our programs have a setting to set the refresh rate of your program.

And older accounts I find are usually harder to get banned than ones that were just made. tongue.gif

Ah that's good. My main is a 6-year account, I hope that gives me some leeway. I hope I'll be ok though, usually even when I AP, I set the "refresh every X seconds" option on firefox and sit in front of the computer. Whenever it signs me out, I stop the APer right away and log back in.

Don't get greedy, take a break from programs adn being on the account so neo doesn't think you're on there 24 hours a day. even as heartwrenching as it may seem that you aren't making neopoints, it's a lot better than being frozen. That's why most people get frozen, because they get greedy and just want to keep making more money

Good job watching out for that. A couple programs are already patched so that they relogin if Neopets signs you out, but I guess the other programmers need to be alerted of this. tongue.gif

Well, I use a Cellblock AP and a Scarab 21 AP, both of which I didn't get from here, I used an autorefresher called Nadvanced for one day before all the posts here told me it was a bad bad idea, I use a 200m peanut dash macro for hitting the left and right keys for me, a Tug-o-war script, sockopens's NQII trainer (only used it once though), and also rcadble's MTG. I used to use a gormball exploit too, but recently it stopped working. And of course, the Eliv Thade trainer. Ones i haven't tried out but are planning to do so is the Cliffhanger AP (it didn't work last time I tried), and the Kad feeder (by Arrsquared? I forgot the author, but this was on the Kad feeder title).

Something tells me I should have typed that out in bullet points. Sorry tongue.gif.
