I was wondering if anyone could share any tips for avoiding getting frozen when using the programs, such as the one for getting neopoints. I think these programs would be useful, but I'm intimidated by neopets threats against it, and hearing about how people got frozen after using it.

Try to use programs only once a week for a few hours.
    Never "bot" overnight.
    Never use refreshers.
    Set your refresh rate low.

There are tons of things i could list, this is just a few of them.

Try to act human with it. tongue.gif

Only turn it on when your on the computer.
Never use multiple programs or browse neopets while you have a program on.

Don't do something stupid. Going to the neoboards and saying "LOOK WHAT MY USER SHOP AUTO BUYER GOT ME!" is a sure way to end up in the ice box.

    Best way: Dont play neopets.
You will get frozen at one point, no matter if you are legit or not.

By frozen, I mean you come on to neopets a day after using one of these programs to find that you just got screwed over by it.

I leave a program on overnight, havent been iced for 3 months. I realize that I probably will sometime but not yet tongue.gif just make it seem realistic, never combine programs at the same time because that is automatically ban-worthy... dont get too greedy... hm that sounds about right

What would be really cool is if I could find a way to get all the expensive stuff I've been trying to get for a long time without getting frozen.

But yeah, I'm thinking that if you use separate accounts, make sure you don't transfer a whole huge amount at once. Cause I was reading through a thread in the programs section where a guy mentioned he got all his accounts frozen for that.

Try to make TNT think.... No, thats it! Try to not make TNT think about you at all, cause any suspicion usually results in an account being iced.

Maybe you can have a good account, but you just have to take it really slow.

legit is just as likely to get you frozen as non-legit.

true, playing legit does nothing except give you a false sense of security and wastes a lot of time that a program could do quicker smile.gif

The Neopets Team will freeze anyone they think is becoming a "legend" on the site. Hence why jazz_invincible and neggyweggs were frozen.

    That. Doesn't. Work.
Legit people get frozen just as much as cheaters.

In fact, most cheaters are legit people who got frozen, and started cheating to spite TNT.

Legit or unlegit, you'll be frozen either way(sorry to be so pessimestic)

I'm with Kitsune. I had a wondeful 3 year account. I was poor and my account wasn't that good, but I was still happy with my 3 year shield. Then last summer me and my entire guild(Kitsune included) were frozen. I was completely legit, but since Neo is freeze-happy I was frozen. I'm over it now though. I might as well start cheating to spite Neo, like Kitsune said.

I would just suggest this if you want to be legit: be anti-social and just make money by games. Excluding the guild, it worked for me for 3 years.

    edit: typos

You can also read the comments other people make on the programs (in the Member Programs section on the very bottom of the forum) to see if they're getting frozen with it or not..... and if they say what settings they are using, maybe set the settings so you're not refreshing as much as they were. tongue.gif
