    OH MY GOD YES.
All of my 14,000 songs disappeared, all my playlists gone, my authorization code had to be re-registered using my last one, and it took forever to get everything again. I know your pain. sad.gif

I haven't had any problems so far, but I'm using Itunes 7 because I didn't like the newest one. And I keep all my songs in a separate folder away from Itunes, so I hope they're safe from being erased randomly.

You all hate it because you dont no how to use it, my iTunes looks at whats connected to my computer if it sees an external device such as a harddrive or a network folder then it adds all the songs in by editing the xml file. If its unplugged it takes them out, now thats how you pimp iTunes if you do backups you should be fine, and it doesnt just "randomly" delete your iTunes folder its normally/always user errors!

Either way, if someone made an extension for Winamp to connect to your Ipod I would have ditched ITunes the first day I used it, at least I don't have to worry about losing my library/playlists wink.gif

There is a plugin or mod that you can download. You'll have to google it.

I have never had any issues with iTunes except for when I moved my songs from a different drive. I had to modify all of the paths in the XML and .dat file.
I always keep backups of my music. If I lost my good 12.30 GB of music... I would freak.

I do not use Itunes.... I don't know why I would. Isn't it just for people with IPods?
