I want one so badly! I currently have sprint and the LG Fusic, however my phone is broken (just the screen, I can still use it) and I'm looking for a new one. However, we're under contract with sprint and it's $150 to cancel. I have no idea what to do, suggestions? Anyone selling one? I'm at a loss, I want this phone so badly but $150 to cancel is very very step and makes it almost not worth it.

Well I know you can buy the phone and just have the internet and AIM for $20 a month.

Yeah well, I would also use it as a phone. Carrying two phones around with me when I can't even see one of the screens doesn't appeal to me. But, I haven't thought of that, maybe if I could get one cheap I'd just do that

How would that work with texting? Would I get a phone number that people can text to, but just can't call?

I'd have to see it, or i could just take your word on it that there aren't any scratches and it would come with all the original stuff. I'd want to pay around $100, but, I'm sure he could convince me to go around $150ish

Good condition, comes with a case, some add ons and crap.
I'll talk to him later about that, and I'm assuming we'll have to pay shipping charges.. so iono. =/

Look on Ebay. I'm pretty sure that there are companies out ther (Canadian of course) that can make the Sidekick 3 usable on your Sprint plan.

I already have =[ And i've looked into unlocking it as well, but if I were to unlock the phone then I couldn't use AIM or the internet because it goes through "danger". So that isn't an option for me =[

Unlocking will make it usable on all networks as phone and text - and you will still be able to get ALL the services on a tmo network.

Alright, here's the deal. The AIM/MSN/YIM /Internets/Email will NOT NOT NOT work under any other network than T-Mobile, as TM is the only network that still uses GPRS, and thats what the sidekick supports. Having a sidekick plan is a waste of money, because you HAVE to get a standard phone plan with it.
Basically, wait until your contract is up and then get tmo. Or, get a job, and pay for your own cell plan instead of being on your parents'. Problem solved, tyvm.

    Now, as for me...

Wow Sidekick 3. Gotta love the Sidekick series.
First Sidekick, then sidekick 2, which looks pretty much the same, then sidekick 3 which looks pretty much the same.
And there are people out there who will upgrade after buying each one.
What an age of addicted consumerism -_-'
You can live without it Raillery. $150 just for canceling, is a lot of money =/

I dont understand. You're saying I should unlock it, get sprint service, and then attempt to also get the tmobile aim and texting and that would work?
