I jammed my finger really badly this saturday. What I'm wondering now is, can you jam a finger so bad, that the skin looks a bit discolored? I hope its not a fracture.
Not that I'm aware of.. but when I jam a finger I pull it out immediately.. It's probably not healthy, but it feels a hell of a lot better

The discoloration is normal, I hurt my hand once it formed a black spot for a month
Just make sure it doesn't get hurt, pressed or anything like that for a week or two and it should be fine
Haha

How did you jam it in the first place?

=P I once got that too, by getting my hand stuck in a fire-safety door lock mechanism... The little thing stayed for a while until I 'popped' it out.

my room mate has a thumb nail that's all blue and black and shit cuz she slammed it in a car door....
it's gross cuz it's starting to grow out a bit and as she's picking out the blood and stuff, and she says she has no feeling under her nail where she's digging.... she prollly damaged some nerves there.
