I don't use the abbreviations either, but I still got it. Well, maybe it doesn't take a texter, but rather a child of the internet. I certainly don't think my parents got a single word of it.

I've seen this commercial a good bit whilst watching some game shows and soaps. I think it's funny but I don't use all those abbreviations, either. I just type everything out.

Anyways... I hate how like, little kids all have cell phones now. Pretty gay.

Mmm it annoys me too when young kids have cell phones. I was dam well 14 or 15 (can't remember) when I got one My cousin had one since she was 8. And it's a small town so it's not like she'd get lost and need to ring or anything like that. Then again it was an old phone of her mum's so it's not as bad as getting a new one like she has now (at 10).

i got my first phone at 12, my parents deemed it somewhat necessary because we live in the city & i was taking the train alone. it was cool for a minute when i got it, but it was an awful phone (black and white, extremely long, huge antenna, horrible reception) & i was only allowed to use it for calling them
