In the maze of the latest plot chapter, I cannot find the 'thorns' anywhere. Someone said that they were an automatically received item and that it is simply a glitch if you do not have them. Any suggestions....?

What exactly are you supposed to do in this 5th step? Go around the woods looking for parts to fix the ship?

Read everything in chapter 4 and you will get them.

5th step is go through the maze and find stuff to repair your ship
