Right now, you dont even think of death that much, you go about laugh with your friends, go to school/work. The thing is, right now you consider death as something distant, but when death comes, you wont want it. Why do you think pointing a gun at someone is effective, if you didnt care if god existed, then that would be you would be like so what. Becasue, then there would be no doubt that you would die, as you have nothing to watch over you. When you dead, you would be a simple rotting nothing in a crate, and that all that you life has come down to. So what would be the point of waking up? What would be the point of even living, there is nothing that will save you from this fate. Except, god, he is the only choice out of being snuffed out of existence in one second. There are way over a million ways to die, and no matter how hard you try, you will die. So, why not believe that you will go to heaven, give yourself confidence and a reason to live. If you do believe and he does exist, then you spend eternity in the bliss that EVERYONE seeks. If He doesn't, then you die believing that your going to a better place, and you do freak out and panic, your last minutes of life would be 50 times better because of this, you wouldn't be in a living hell (so to speak). Not like your going to remember anything, or know that your wrong.

That's bullshit.
I -have- died. I'm quite content not believing in God.
In my eyes, the point of being alive is the influence that you will have on those who come after.

My point was, that I have experienced death, and I still do not fear it, nor do I need God to hold my hand and justify my existence. I justify my own existence.

And yes, why not?
And Elfonso, that is a definition of death. Which your outlook certainly does not adhere to, because according to you, there is life after death.
No, not biological life, a life of the soul, spiritual not biological. Do you even read what a type or just instantly try and say I'm wrong?
