Well i got banned from neopets for making 100+ accounts and then using my updated 67k grabba on them all (coming out soon)

Was kinda pissed but did some research and found the best way to change your ip.

Go to your routers directory, find where it says "MAC Address", Click on it and then click "Clone Address", if the address stays the same, go onto a different computer on the same network, and do it again, it should change, then click apply.

Unplug router and modem after it has finished applying, replug in modem then router, and you will have a new ip address.

Worked wonders for me.

Hope it helps some of you.

Quick, stupid question: I use a linksys wireless box with comcast internet. Is that what this is for?

It can be used for a linksys because that is what I use. Although, I don't use wireless anymore because that slows things down for me. But to answer your question yes it can be used for a linksys route system.

Some people ip's who are on cable do not change, like mine, unless you change your mac address.

    it depends on your isp
some of them give out dynamic ips while others give out static ips
where i live static ips cost more cause you can host stuff like game servers on them

For my router, I just go on www.whatismyip.com, turn my modem off, turn it on then refresh the page and my IP changes smile.gif

Chances are you have a dynamic ip rather than static

The beauty of Verizon FIOS is that I unplug my router for a second and plug it back in and I have a new IP Address. smile.gif
