I went overboard on a certain program here on neocodex and they chain froze me. Thus resulting me being neo banned or atelast that's what I think they did. I can't create a new account or log into any others that I know the passwords are right.

Any help on my situation? unsure.gif

Unplugging your router via the internet cords and turning it off should change ur IP slightly so that it will let you back on neo. And to answer your question... it depends on what ur IP banned for. In some cases its 1 week, others 1 month and I know someone who went 5 months on an IP ban and played MS because he was too lazy to unplug his router wink.gif

alright thanks for all of y'alls help. I will check back in pssibly a week or 2 and tell you if i'm un-banned, is there any way to find out how long I'm banned?

also yes, i'm dynamic. I tried un-plugging our modem over night and still nothing happened, is there anything I could do differently?

Try connecting straight to the internet without the router, then go to cmd. ipconfig /release followed by ipconfig /renew.
Dunno how this is gonna work if you connect through the router though.

I did ipconfig /release, which worked fine but when I do ipconfig /renew it just gives me back my same IP address. Should I try to un plug the modem then try ip /release and ip /renew?

The unplug dosnt work for me. I unplugged my modem first, and then my router. Left for a good 5.10 mins and plugged both back in. I'm on 10 meg broadband.

In short. Yes. If you are connected to your ISP, and they use DHCP (pray) unplug your modem for a good 30 minutes. Don't touch your damn router. I find more and more that 90% of companies are making modems act as DHCP servers and most use NAT now. So leave the modem unplugged, and if you reconnect and the IP is the same. Call them bitches and bitch.

From personal experience, I know that unplugging your modem doesn't work with comcast. I'd recommend just calling your ISP, and telling them that you would like a new IP, some companies might not let you though :\

I wouldn't totally be sure of yourself rock. I have comcast as well linked together with linksys. Is all I do to reset my IP is unplugg my modem and my router from the modem for about 10 minutes. I uplug everything so that the power isn't even on. I keep the cable in though because that takes to long to put back on. Well, after that I first plug in the modem and wait for everything to reboot and once that is all on i put my linksys router back into the modem then supply the linksys router with the power plug. That should work if you have comcast.

I have tried this process multiple times with Comcast as well, and it has failed to work.

That's really weird because this has worked for me several times. It is much easier to do if you have the wireless linksys router system though because you can just open the linksys program on your computer and click change IP. I could have sworn though that I have also clicked a button on my computer that repairs or does something to gain a new IP. I'll seach for what I did and let you all know if I find out.

I can't. My father regulary uses the internet too. He does not want the IP changed, due to Private Trackers not liking it.
