Calum suggested to me a bit ago (and obviously many others have said in the last topic) that neopoints may not be the angle going for. What type of prizes would you like? Maplestory mesos, brushsets, lineart, custom drawn things (*cough* ain't gonna happen often), and possibly real money? I'm not saying that if you suggest these things of what you'd like that you'd really get them as I'd really have to discuss funding with Kitsune however if at all possible I'm going to try and get you the best prizes

Also once the awards system is done there WILL be a new tag for the SOTW winner and it will change every week that there is judging and I have already called a color that is unique and it will be taken care of So just letting you know that your GFX leader is not dead (even though I'm working two jobs for the summer >_<) and changes will still occur. Also just to let you know my next journal posting on devart (and I have over 200 watchers) will be a partial advert for neocodex and so HOPEFULLY we can get some new life into the section so we can get more activity. The neocodex deviantart unfortunately didn't work out too well but if possible I think I can give it another go eventually.

I'd say an award system that accredits wins under your tags would be awesome.
So would money, but that doesn't seem realistic to me at all

Yes, I like the idea of winning something that could display under your tags saying how many times you have won the SOTW.

or another section under the Referral Points saying SOTW wins and than how many times you have won it...but yeah the tag idea sounds cool as well...money ain't that bad either...lol...

we could have a record of who wins SOTW every week, and then at the end of the year or a fairly long period we get to vote on sotw of the year or something. that person gets a huge prize O.o

We don't need prizes, just make it meaningful to enter in a SOTW. ANY recognition at all would be an improvement...

Basically, I agree with Coki and Freak. Just acknowledge a win and let people know easily who has won etc.
