was flicking through a magazine of mine and found this little article on the Seitz 6x17 digital camera
which has a 160 megapixel sensor

wow....... i don't even know why someone would need a camera wiht that many pixels... all they affect is the picture size and the quality of pics u take @ night right??? and my 8 mp cameraa does a wonderful job.

its just resolution which is directly related with picture size and quality

160 the highest ive seen is like 12 mega pixels.....the quality of pictures should be amazing

Is the body priced at $44,300? I'm assuming it has lifetime warranty. Assuming you take high quality photos with an 8MP camera, each .jpeg file size would be estimated around 4.5MB. Each camera compressions images at different rates, but an average file size for a 160MP camera would be at least 90MB. The raw image alone is estimated to be 300MB!
