I am 15, and in the need of some cash (aren't all 15 year olds). What jobs can I get at my age?

And I don't want suggestions like selling stuff on ebay and doing surveys. Cause I have already tried that. I want a real job.

try moving yards or something... if u live where i do no one will hire you unless you're 16 or older.. cause it's the law here i think.. but yeah... something that dosn't require you to have a boss.

Like he said, a real payrolled job.

    Start a business like me.

The only thing you can do is work in food service or bag boy...and thats a MAYBE on where you live.

Paper rounds is the most obvious answer but if your smart you could make money off eBay and lie about your age

Check around at local car dealerships if there are any near you. I know the one I work at usually hires a couple teenagers for the summer to wash cars and such.

Your best bet would be to probably look around at your local supermarket or shops like that. smile.gif

    Orrr...

Check out grocery stores. You aren't going to get any job at 15 that doesn't involve manual labor, unless you have a friend who'll hire you. Everyone has to start pushing carts =]

Even within counties, the age minimum varies amongst businesses. I know that the Starbucks in my town here hired 16 year olds yet the Starbucks in the adjacent town doesn't take anyone under 18. So just go around fast food stores and such and check.

Totally depends on what country you're from... here you can get a job at 13 fairly easily because there's a reasonably high adult minimum wage whereas until you're 16 there's no minimum wage so the pay is quite low.

Then there's people I know in USA who're 17-18 and can't get anything.

Your best bet is to start as a dishwasher at some place, do a GREAT job (super quick with barely as few breaks as you can stand, polite to everyone) and they'll get you waiting tables when they're short on staff and then give you the job properly. I've seen that happen really often.

hey wow that's how i started... only i was a dishwasher/buffet cook which ever one they needed and then after a while they saw that i was good with people, becuase i often talked to the guests, so they moved me up to being a server

i hate to kill your hopes, but i can promise you that anyone that is willing to hire you at 15 is going to be expecting you to do some manual labor. However, you could start a business like i did, made a good $25 dollars or more an hour, and now i have a regular job so I am making a ton of money.

I can't imagine any business hiring someone who's under 16.
I thought it was illegal here in the states, anyways. Whatever. I started at 16. && I haven't seen ANY application anywhere that did not say "are you at least 16 years of age?"
    It's ALWAYS 16.

.... I had to start out babysitting and I didn't even do that long. And the kid was 10! HA!

I'm not the kind of person to really enjoy manual work so I've been setting up a few websites for myself that give a fair enough amount, well enough to satisfy my computer component buying obsession. tongue.gif

Just stand near a public toilet, and everytime someone comes past, you say "Business?" And if they say yes, you say "$30 for head, 20 for hand"

Orr.... See if you can get a job at school or something, like work at the canteen or somewhat. Might be a bit embarrassing, though.

Or, you can do what i used to do, which was host a movie night. Hire a projector, hire a movie, hire a venue, (like a community center or something), and get a few friends to help out. Then sell tickets for $5 a pop.
