It's cheap, and even though I can't take full advantage of it, it's a good investment, just like I don't need the 756MB DX10 card, but it's nice to have.
Onboard sound is good enough =P There isn't that much of a difference ha ha.
I'll be running 32 Bit WinXP. It uses about 3.5 Gigs, and there is nothing that I'd be using this computer for that would require anything over 2 GB =P Just nice to have the extra lol.
American Beer is cheap and after around 12 you start to feel em =P

Most American Beer tastes like water, easy to chug down ya know. Although I must admit, I had some nice Sake a while ago. It was expensive as hell, but felt oh so good going down.

Dude you're crazy, sound cards make a huge difference in sound quality. It'll be the difference between playing a beautiful game with bland 2 dimensional sound and playing a beautiful game with 3d dimensional sound that makes you feel the action. I'd say a sound card is a must with any strong computer like that =/

I don't know why you would pay over $100 for just the case, seems like a waste of money that could be put to something else to me.

the case is pretty important but it doesnt have to be that expensive xD
    mostly just needs good airflow
+ the ability to fit a huge video card and 4x hard drives. I dont even know if that will even fit to be honest since its a mid tower...and the GTX is a huge mofo'ing card.
I would have just gotten a couple of Raptor drives with 10k RPM, made everything hella fast.

You should change some stuff xD
I'd say go for 2 Gigs and buy 2x raptor drives and a gaming sound card I mean *

    http://www.newegg.co...N82E16835100007
Should probably get that thermal compound paste too, although get a second opinion.

My friend has a mid tower and it's big enough to SLi the two cards together =P And the hard drives can fit in easily =P

I would get raptor, but I like the Seagates for some reason, plus their a lot cheaper, and I'm more for storage than speed (in most cases).

Bought a fan and a new heatsink, along with that exact thermal paste =P

Ya same. My computer is litterarly less then 1/4th of yours

    1.2 ghz single core
    1gb ram
    200gb hd
    32mb video card tongue.gif

    I wouldn't spend more then 1200 on a computer, I don't feel the need for 1920x1600 4x aa/af and max settings. I'm fine at 1024x768 at medium settings tongue.gif

I'm saying if I was to get a new computer I'd be happy to run stuff at low settings tongue.gif. Only recent game this can run is Civ4/Half-Life 2 on near minimum settings tongue.gif

Quality and looks, 50 dollar cases have cheap ass plastic parts or other problems

    4GB Ram?

    you're a clever one eh

practically required if you're ever running vista, 2gb works well on it too though

    QUOTE(Hawk @ Jul 20 2007, 10:32 AM) View Post
Make sure to get a 64 bit OS, a 32 bit won't be able to fully utilize your 4 gigs of RAM.
