Good luck, I'm looking forward to my weight training class next semester. For now I have a job to keep in shape with =P

for the abs, in addition to what's been said, you could try flutter kicks. lay down, put your hands under your butt/lower back for support. keep your legs straight and keep them about 6 inches off the ground. then flutter them up and down (like your walking, but without bending your knees). do that about 50 times. you'll get tired if you do them right.
as for the arms? do you mean like biceps and forearms, or shoulders too? a good shoulder/arm exercise is the over-head arm clap and the forward clapper.
put your arms straight out to your side and just clap them directly above your head (like you're doing a jumping jack, but without the jumping and the jacking), after getting to about 50 claps, switch and clap your hands directly in front of you and do another 50 claps. (make sure you keep your arms straight this whole time!!)
also, for more pain (pain=good), between switching from above your head and in front of you, do a few small circles with your arms forwards and backwards (like 5 times each, then switch)
believe me, you'll have beefier arms in like a week.
well, they'll also be pretty sore, but whatever....
...pansy

Also, if you can get your hands on one, get an ab lounge. You get an amazing workout for ALL your abs. Highly reccomended.

ah i tried the arm claps, they cause the same amount of pain as push ups but somehow seem easier to get through. thanks for that

hey no problem.
we also have this other arm workout called "the military press"
basically, hold your arms out and angled (90 degrees) like you're holding a big stick over your head (actually, if you can find a big stick, use it, but don't hurt yourself)
and all you do is stretch your arms up like your pushing something to the sky, and bring it back down to 90 degrees.
a good medium pace is good. it's just something to throw in with the arm claps to kinda change it up.
and if you *really* want to, you can use weights. we had to do this in basic training while holding our rifles. gets *really* tiring when they yell at you to keep it steady and above your head after like 100+
