I'm sick of taking the damned train. It's a pain in the ass and there are lots of shady people on the train making me scared : (.

How should I get home from school? Should I take my bike or is that too, you know like stupid? It would ruin my social value completely =[

Any ideas? I can't drive yet >:(

How do you get home?

Since when were bikes stupid and able to ruin your "social value"?

Hmmm well personally in Brooklyn I wouldn't take my car. Well I don't know if you live downtown Brooklyn or not but isn't the traffic horrendous there? I'd rather take public transportation. Yeah, the subways (that's what you mean, right?) can be kind of scary. I'm not a resident of New York but I've been a tourist there. I don't know about Brooklyn but I don't think it'd be a bad idea to ride a bike if you can. People at my high school if they lived at least somewhat close did it all the time. No big deal tongue.gif

EDIT: You're from Des Moines now? blink.gif

Ya, well I'm moving to Brooklyn, New York soon to live with my dad there in a few weeks, so I decided to write Brooklyn = ) . Anyways, once I'm in Brooklyn I'm guessing I won't have a problem getting home. But for these few weeks, the train ride is terrible in Des Moines. Right now I'm In Des Moines with my mom =[. I live in a pretty urban area in Des Moines so the trains are packed. In a few weeks I hit Brooklyn. I've been there before but now it will be permanent.

I either walk or get a ride in a car(this includes parents, friends parents, and friends mainly). That will change once I have my license though. I hope to have it before January, but who knows if I'll actually have it or not. tongue.gif

-.- Walking. The hill is pure hell to go up after five hours in the kitchen, but oh well. If only my corolla were here...I would be riding it to and from, hands down.

I get to and from school by car.
I live too far away from the school to ride my bike.
I also would have to get up exxxxxtra early.

I think riding your bike would be a good thing. As long as your backpack
isn't too much of a burden on your back & you don't live too far away. It's a great workout though.

It's a 30 minute drive to my school every day, and a 20 minute walk from my parking lot to school.

I hate going to the most populated university in the states.

I ride my bike, it takes about 20 minutes to get to my house from school; forced exercise for the win!

I have to catch 3 busses to get to college, taking an hour and a half. Only 2 on the way back though, I walk the 3rd part.

I walk. I really don't see the need for any other use of transportation when I live a 5-8 minute walk away from school smile.gif

I've always walked to school. Currently that implies a 30 minute walk. No point in taking the bus, the city's so crowded it wouldn't save any time at all. And there's no subway. But I like walking, most of the time.
