I have recently purchased a guitar... Oh Yeah!!
It is so coool..
I cant realy play much eccept some openings of songs.
I have kind of regretted buying an acoustic though and think i may have been better off with an eletric instead.
I will have to wait til christmas i guess.

Does anyone know any easy songs to play on guitar or where i should start?
Its just that i dont want to be paying for a tutor...

thanks

    Trust me.

Learn acoustic before you even pick up an electric. If you can get good on acoustic, you will be twice as good on electric. (IMHO)

What kind of guitar (brand) did you get?

I am rather fond of the piano happy.gif

Been playing on and off for a while, been without a teacher for over a year now =S I just find some sheet music, go on Youtube to find videos of other people playing it (To make sure I am playing it right) and just go from there =P

Not to toot my own horn, but I am not half bad at it, either! I play for my church alot, and have even done some other events. One time I played at some big hospital Christmas event doohickey. They announced my name right after they announced the CEO xD

er... its some brand called "chantry".
I picked it up for £40 at a local shop.
About 3 of my friends who also play guitar have seen it and prefer it to their own guitars.

Didgeridoo (I'm rubbish at it), piano, cello, guitar (also rubbish at this), and ocarina (it sucks, don't try it, and you feel really gay whenever you play it, cause it's like a tiny recorder)

learn accustic first, you will be great on electric if you do.

I played bass guitar until I had to sell it...
I also play bass clarinet, clarinet, alto saprano tenor and bari sax, baritone, trumpet.... Tho my brass playing is not to good atm.

    A crappy banjo.

Learning on acoustic is handy! Stick to it.

Right now I am playing a Collings' CJ . (http://www.thepodium...adirondack.aspx)

Very nice guitars, I must say. I also have a couple of Martins, Larrivees and believe it or not, a Tacoma that I LOVE.
