I would like to see if I can actually get a Mormon's point of view here because I never listen to what these freaks in sport coats on bicycles have to say.

What possesses you to come to My door, out of anyone...If you knew anything about me you would know that I am the Pagan of the block. You smell burned sage come from my windows weekly, among many other things. "Blessed Be" comes from my lips atleast 5 times a Day.

a Typical meeting goes like this

Bicycle Mormons: Hello. Have you heard about--

Me: I'm sorry, not Interested.

Bicycle Mormons: *puts his foot in the door jamb* Mind if we come in, its a bit cold out here.

Me:No, and youll be leaving without your foot if you Don't take it out of my home

Bicycle Mormons: My apologies, if youll just take a look at this pamphlet--

Me:I do not want your pamphlet, it would only decorate the bottom of my trash can. in many pieces.

Bicycle Mormons: Just take a look over it maybe youll have a change of heart

Me:*takes pamphlet and crumples it up in front of said Mormon* I doubt it.

Bicycle Mormons: God Bless

Me: Blessed Be. *slams the door*

Seriously I think that a bunch of Atheists on bicycles should knock on Mormon's doors and tell them the benefits of not believing in a god, and shoving pamphlets in their faces.

If you are Mormon, Please Dont take this as me bashing on the Mormon religion. I'm bashing on the way you go about things. if people wanted to know about your beliefs I'm pretty sure they would come to your temple of tabernacle or church or whatever the hell you want to call your place of worship.

As you can tell by my signature I believe that all religions and all peoples of them can Coexist, but when you do shit like this it makes it kind of hard for me not to want to tie your bicycle in a knot around your neck.

My dad once answered the door in his underwear and started 'speaking in tongues' when a group of a Mormon's tried to sell us their religion. Needless to say, they don't bother us anymore; they just leave us videos and popcorn o.O I like free popcorn, although the extra Mormon VHS is unfair trash.

My friend's grandma had a Jehovah's Witness come to her door one day, and she had this old scruffy cat. When she told him that she was not interested in the pamphlet, the guy put his foot in front of the door to jam it and asked if he could come in (probably the exact same way you described it). His grandma was trying to close the door and the guy wouldn't let her, and the cat saw this. So what does the cat do? It leaps right onto the guy's face and starts clawing him. I think he let go of that door pretty fast. tongue.gif

My other friend and his dad also answer the door and state that they belong to the "Church of Notgiveashitism" and then shut the door.

I had one preach to me in front of my door about how wildlife and humans can live in harmony, and the pamphlet that they had snuck under my door had a picture of a person hugging a bear. LOL

The last time those guys came to my house, I let them tell their spill, and then I told them I was atheist. Simple.
They told me something like "have a nice day" or something like that.
I WOULD have nice days if people didn't try to force their religion on me. 1we8.gif

Door to door religion salesmen disappoint me. Just had a Mormon girl last thursday. At least when I showed no interest she said 'have a blessed day' and took off, presumably to hit the next house.

I always look through the peekhole when someone knocks on the door, but sometimes I don't reach it so I peek through the window. If I notice a religious person, I try to hide... even though I know they can't see me, but what if they can feel my presence blink.gif

Same. Had them stop in my yard. And they honked their horn until I came outside.

    I was like: "What"

They was like: "Hello. We would like to talk..."

    I was like: "Atheist. Bye."

    Them: "Have a blessed day."

Then I shot them and ate their souls because Satan told me to do it.

Well this is the first I heard of Mormon religion.

You see with people like me, without knowledge of this religion how am I suppose to know about it. The point is...the religion(it a religion rite?), the point is...the religion are new/unpopular and therefore never been heard much about tongue.gif.

    I don't like Door2Door people much...but o well.

Apparently not tongue.gif. I don't really mind them too much. I invited them in and had tea with them tongue.gif. We had a really good conversation tongue.gif.

I ask people what they know about Islam sometimes too...mostly because there are so many misconceptions out there. I'm not trying to convert them or anything, just trying to clear up the misconceptions. They can see what Islam is all about by themselves after that. I've just done my job in telling them what Islam really says tongue.gif. Maybe this is how the Mormons feel too? I don't go door to door though tongue.gif. Mine is more on a personal level with my friends and stuff tongue.gif.

Somebody i knew from my brief stint in college found me when i was working in the mall and started doing his jehovas witness pitch on me. i told him my opinion that organised religion seems cause as many problems as it solves (middle east quagmire anyone?) Then he goes on to say that those are all false religions and his is the true one. presumptious cock, his religion is right while billions of people subscribing to thousand+ year old belief systems are wrong. this kind of bs is why i dont really buy into any of them.

Aus, I'm quite sure there are many other country out there that never heard of this religion.

    But I got a story tongue.gif.
There was a time where religion recruiter come to my house, they can speak my native(not sure if this correct word) language of my family. So it give my mother a chance to talk with them(she can't speak english tongue.gif). Anyway instead of them preaching to us, she started to preach my family religion to them happy.gif.

I would presume he meant Austria since Australians speak English. tongue.gif

Just for the record, Mormonism is probably the religion which least annoys me. At least they kind of admit that theirs is basically made up by some crazy guy.

I have no problem with ANY religion, as long as you leave me the bark alone about it.

If I ask you out of curiosity that's one thing...But when I hear crap about "What if jesus came down and saw you doing that" my answer would be, I would kick him in the Jubblies, and tell him to mind his own barking business

I guess I'll be seeing you in hell then. tongue.gif Being nontheist, we're condemned to hell by most religions which would seem to contradict the message which most of them try to send. rolleyes.gif Judge not lest ye be judged indeed...

    Haha....Jumblies o.O; Made me chuckle a little.

The only time that I snapped at someone of faith offline was when they were harassing a friend of mine. They were wearing a Jewish star, and the Christian started saying 'If you do not accept Jesus, you will burn in hell.' My friend bought a ring from a store, and the person started getting -really- anti-semitic, so I snapped and said 'bark off you barking moron! If this was what Jesus wanted you to do with your life, then Jesus is a barking asshole.'

People don't like to be meddled with, and when some pompous asshole steps forward and tries to ruin someones day by pushing their barking agenda on other people, I lose my barking patience.

    ...bark. o.O;

LMAO my cousin did that once. He had, and I quote, "a Mormon epidemic problem". tongue.gif He's sort of the...dumb one...in the family. tongue.gif Anyway, he stuck the red thumbtack on his door and a Mormon knocked on his door the following week. He said to the Mormon "I don't get it! I put a red thumbtack on my door. Your supposed to leave me alone!". The Mormon replied "Try a blue thumbtack next time, blessed sir." My respect for Mormons soared after that. tongue.gif

I, personally, haven't had experiences with Mormons. I guess there just aren't a lot of Mormons around where I live. tongue.gif

    That's pretty awesome actually xD

My dad doesn't mind Mormon's so much, but he DESPISES the jehova witnesses. He had a blast threatening them once they made the mistake of saying they can't react with force to anything laugh.gif
"So, I could kill your whole family and there is nothing you could do about it?" -cue dude running away-
