I just wanted to apologize to everyone who experienced the downtime today due to a call to an undefined function in the source code of the Neocodex forum software. The call was made to a function in one of the board mods for alerting you when certain events occur on neopets. I commented the line out and have notified Noit, who wrote the mod, to fix the error. I believe it's just a skin issue as only the default skin was updated with the skin function calls.

In any case, just wanted to apologize.

I guess this is a good time to tell you that I'll be upgrading the board this weekend to IPB 2.3.4 and doing some database and file cleanup on the server . There may be some expected downtimes during the weekend due to this but we'll keep you guys updated .

Oh. The Turmaculus was up btw.

[Neo]

I guessed it was Noit

[Black Flame]

I must have logged on at the end of it, since I experienced maybe 3 minutes of the downtime. But yeah, it's alright. Good to hear the board is gonna be upgraded this weekend as well.

Yeah if you had the default skin on you weren't affected . Damn default skinners .

[Eyesore]

lol I was wondering what happened when I tried to log in and all I got was "neoalert error etc etc", glad its fixedish.

Default skin > all. So all the cool people weren't affected at all.

I just changed it to the Default skin. XD

Ever since I came to codex, I was apparently on the Light version... So I thought it was default. IDK. ;;

[Chew]

THANKS

I was wondering why i could not get on

[Oaken]

I figured Noit killed Codex again. The same thing happened last week when he was working on the Faerie reQuest alert.

Sorry for the delay in accepting an answer for my faerie reQuest

All your fault for keeping it up there sooo long! xD

I think I should take this time to suggest how we should actually make use of a TEST SERVER and never ever ever ever ever test things out flat on codex again. This has happened about five times. Oh yes and I agree with Laser. If you don't use Default you aren't in with the cool kids

He has a test board, he just doesn't use it. We all have separate test boards I think.

So you're telling me he decides not to test things on there and instead ignores it even though he's had a huge history of this happening and just lays it flat out on codex anyways causing it to explode? Great.

Well it did only explode for non-default users, who really cares about them?

I was a default user until about a week ago when it was announced that two of the other skins were released. That was the first time I even checked out the other skins .

Anyway...it's cooler to not go woth the norm....the norm in this case being the default skin.

YEEAAHHHH go non-default skinners

[Tetiel]

You're right. Perfect answer.

[Jenna]

oh well glad were back up and thanks for the warning

This is precisely why I am so pissed off at him .

[Mr. Hobo]

Take it easy on Noit, he's trying to help Codex .
