Whatpulse was a codex fad which had you install a program on your computer that counted the number of keystrokes and clicks you made on your computer and would update the whatpulse account online. People from across the globe competed against each other to get the most clicks and keystrokes. That's what I remember of it at least. I could be wrong tongue.gif.

Haha, I always have that thing running. I'm at about 8.7 million keystrokes with 7.6 million clicks. I'm about 100-200k behind Cript in keystrokes, and I'm absolutely kicking his ace in clicks. Probably because of all the gaming this thing has done, along with all the browsing, and Spider solitaire (Its like crack to my Mom blink.gif)

Seems like a lot of work for a statistic that people will only see once and that doesn't mean much tongue.gif. Not that it's completely stupid, I just don't understand how it became so huge like that.

It was a form of community bonding back in the day. tongue.gif To join the Neocodex whatpulse team was to join together for a united cause to get a crapload more clicks and keys than the other teams!

I guess that makes sense. We should get something like that for today's community too tongue.gif.
