That list is way off imo, atleast missing some things. I know mortgage brokers that make close to 800k a year. My cousin works as an account representative for Wachovia Banks. She makes about 300k a year.

    That's all USD btw.

Anesthesiologists have a tough job. If you fuck up, there's a good chance the person can never wake up I think.

I've always entertained the idea of playing the stock market, spending maybe 2-3 hours a day on it, and achieving financial freedom that way. Then I would be free to do whatever I want. No responsibility to other people, completely self dependent. No bosses or assignments, no meetings to go to. No stupid ties to wear. No mask to put on.

She spends hours reading and analyzing...
It's so simple in reality. If she had listened to my advice we'd be rolling in dough right now. She didn't buy Apple when it was at 80, now its 160. Didn't buy Nvidia when I told her to, the stock has since split twice, and went up a ton.
Stock market is so simple in essence...but I guess life isnt.

Exactly Nox. See what this list isn't taking into consideration is the high cost of malpractice insurance for anesthesiologists. They are the ones most likely to kill people and therefore the ones who have to pay the most in case they get sued WHICH THEY WILL. And also I agree with Joe. Doctors always always always kill people. They will not look at a patient's chart correctly and give them penicillin which causes a severe reaction which kills them. Surgeons will just be tired going in and nick a major artery and they're dead. Anesthesiologists are the ones most likely to kill people at all. Unless you are sure absolutely sure you want to go into that field you should not. Anyone who goes to be a doctor or a psychologist for the money is a fool.

For example I am studying to be a child psychologist which is the most sued psychology field. A parent doesn't like what you did to your child - BAM - lawsuit. But I'm doing it anyways because I care and I want to stop children from becoming adults who you can no longer help. I couldn't care less about the pay. I'll get rather high malpractice insurance unfortunately (though lower because I'm a woman).

I don't get why you'd take your kid if you were just going to sue over the results... tongue.gif

And a lawyer making 91k a years seems rather low. blink.gif

Oh and Alex, I'd wish you luck on the stock market investments laugh.gif . Just put money into alternative energy sources, that's the way to go!

don't do a job just because it pays well, do it because you enjoy it and can see yourself still enjoying it even on a cold wet winter morning when it's a nightmare just getting out of bed!

I was going to be a physicist at uni (white lab coat and everything LOL) but i decided that computers where what i enjoyed and so here i am, playing with 'puters at work, and when i get home i'm playing with 'puters.

I agree. This is probably the best advice as you are going to be doing this job for the rest of your life. Why not do something you love AND get paid for it smile.gif.

Luckily I like computers and they also pay well biggrin.gif.
