Well we aren't entirely sure what would go where (it all depends on what option gets the majority vote), but there would be programs dished out to different levels, it might mean that member level loses a few IF the intermediate rank was established.
And maybe a couple moved to from advanced to the 1k rank... But it'd be more likely that future programs would be distributed into the different ranks rather than altering the existing access.

It's all dependant on the results at this stage

Personally I can't decide. I think 200-300 posts is deserving of some recognition, but in saying that... I also think 500 and 1000 are achievements worthy of celebrating (for lack of a more appropriate term). I think I still need to think some more on what I like. It's between option 2 and 4.

Oh and if anyone has any really appropriate and cool names for retired, post them as well. Sure can't hurt and retired isn't exactly representative

Also, I think if you guys make an 'intermediate' member, you should make it 250 posts.. half of 500 to make it even.

I usually only get angry at situations not at people with a select few exceptions.

Well, for the 'intermediate member' you could maybe give them the same programs as advanced, but just limited a little? And we should probably move the Neopoint Generator from Private to the new 1000 post one..

Voted for the same. Why fix it if it ain't broke? I more think that at 1000 posts most people have the goal for private member, methinks and private usually goes over advanced so... barely any members at all would have the rank, eh?

Well... get better ideas then? I happen to see things differently to you is all. I don't disagree with you entirely, I just bring up the points I see as negatives and either say the negatives are too much to bother with or find ways around the negatives.

And I've liked heaps of your ideas. PotW a major one of yours I like. Only thing I remember recently where I outright disagreed with you was the AB...

1k is a lot of posts though Codex has been around a long time, a lot of people forget that.

Codex has 178 members (as of this post) with 1k posts. That's not many if you consider 15k+ members. That's pretty significant.

If forced to choose, I'd say keep the regular system. One needs not fix what is not broken .

Keep it the same. There seems to be really no point in a 200 post rank because it doesn't exactly take that long to get from 0 to 500 and quite a lot of people wouldn't have the 1000+ plus rank for all that long before having another rank that overrides it anyway. There's really no point to adding either of them, it just means another tag and no real extra priveliges, we can see their post count at the side, don't need them to be a different shade of red for them to tell us .

But uh, I'm kind of newish compared to the rest of you, so I dunno if my opinion counts at all (I hope it would. D: ) but I kind of like things the way they are. 500 posts from nothing makes newer members actually have to show some effort and work their way up, it certainly weeds the leechers from actual potential members of the community. If there was a little rank at just 200 posts it wouldn't seem all that special when they finally reach 500.

I voted for no change, but whatever happens I'll deal with it, lmao.

I wouldnt want it changed too much I mean my goal was 250 posts at one time but I don't think it was something worth a new tag besides member. But thats just my 2 cents. I am happy with whatever is decided im not picky!

If you implement a bank intrest rate system you could use the member ranks as a way of deciding how much intrest each member gets, eg

Normal - 4%
Intermediate - 7%
Advanced - 10% etc......



and retired can be changed to energeticaly challenged

I made a great point on page 2 if anyone cares. About why we SHOULD have a 1k member rank. Only 189 of our 15k members have that many posts. Or .0126%. Ya, its rare.
