Another statistic for the 50% divorce rate. Blah.

Hopfully after she cools off some you can talk and solve your problems. Good luck.

well........ I'm not trying to be an ass here, but at this age, it's in my opinion that anyone trying to get married at this point is still just like a little kid that wants to play house.... young marriages don't usually work, for the same reason why teen relationships almost never last for more than a few months. there are of course, exceptions to this, some people were just meant to be, and thats that.... but you and her I guess are just another one of those relationships that don't work out.

Breaking up might have been easier if you werent married, but still; it's just another thing in life to get over. Get back to your friends, go make some new ones, and find the girl you're really meant for.

in the meantime, i must have said this a dozen times to you already, so when the hell are you going to listen? GO SEE A THERAPIST!!!

Not trying to be an ass didn't work. Age vs Maturity, maturity is more important. Who's to say he's not as mature as most 30 year olds? 1we8.gif

    Hey thanks alot.
That makes alot of sense. We have been together a long time and I dont think people can change their feelings that fast.
That post did make me feel a little better. It really did.

Well she said she just needs a break to think about things. She still loves me, but I do put alot of stress on her. I mean a lot. I have a recently new anxiety problem and that causes me to call her when she is not home from work on time. If she does not answere I call 100x till she answers. I know I shouldnt do that but it is so hard.

It also does not help that since being back from iraq, she is like the only friend I have. No really good friends to talk to. The ones I do talk to are not very suportive.

Dude, you can talk to me. And maybe you need anti-anxiety pills, or something of the like... or anti-depressants, because worrying so much about that kind of stuff I don't think is normal...

sorry, I wasn't trying to appease YOUR emotions. I stand by what I said as my point of view on the subject... and I already said there were some people out there who are exceptions. though majority rules that the younger you marry, the higher the divorce rate.

What a lack of empathy. Your comments on Sonic's thread have been so flippant--visit a psychiatrist, young marriages have higher divorce rates; is this an attempt to help? I understand if you think the medium of a forum isn't capable of helping with issues of such personal intensity, but things like that are counterproductive.

well sorry, but he's made several threads which all have indications of serious psychological issues. these arent going to go away by every single person telling him "oooh, that's too bad... I hope things get better!" I actually think THAT is counterproductive. I'd say telling him to go see a professional to help work out these problems is the most productive thing anyone could say in topics like these.

Josh, she doesn't even deserve you. She isn't NEAR good enough, you deserve someone that's worth being with.

The factoids of what most already know ["Young marriages have higher divorce rates"] is what I mainly meant to refer to, but on the subject of psychiatric help, I doubt anyone going through, what is now the hospitalization of one's mother and divorce, have the ability or will to seek it, even if that psuedo-science may help. (I have a chip on my shoulder about psychiatry, ignore last phrase.)

If she wants a break, give it to her. 90% of the time they're going to come back. From what you've told me about her, she doesn't seem like the type to break something off like that.

You just need to give it some time, things'll work out for ya man, just give it time.

Sonic, marriage is hard, no doubt. While tempers are flairing it is difficult to make ammends. Give her some time to come down a bit. Let her cool off, and that that time to reflect on yourself as well. Mind you, I am not an overly religious person, but there is a book out there called the five love languages. It helped my husband and I through some very tough times. Sometimes what is right for you, is all wrong for your partner. And so this book helps you each clue into each other's needs. It is in the religious section of the book store, but I promise it is not all preachy like. I never would have read it if it were.

I am on here now on a new account because for some reason I can't log in as my old account *which is new anyway* funbun or chelby. I forgot the password. Anyway, feel free to PM me. I have been there. I understand anxiety disorders as well as marriage.

    Just keep hanging on.

My personal experience is with break-up's that even if you get back togheter alot of times it will be very awkward most of the times and eventually not turn out good..

Although this doesnt have to happen just depends on the relation you have / what kind of person you are.

Seeing as this is like two months old now and I'm sure Sonic doesn't really want reminding of it all, I'm gonna close.

Princesseh, a good rule of thumb is that if it's not on the first page of general chat, don't post in it, particularly not just for an emoticon, that kind of thing gets you flamed.
