I bet half of those who say who they want to vote for will not even vote.

apparently voter turnout here (alberta, canada) on the last local election was only like 45%, so I would probably agree with your statement. XD

My guess is he's not interested at all and just wanted to say someone because he was on camera to get them to go away, meant to say 'Clinton' but kinda failed tongue.gif. I do it all the time, think I've said one word and I so haven't, so it wouldn't be too much of a stretch.

Yeah, I have to admit I'm fairly dreadful at politics and don't follow any of the parties or any of that, but when England's next election rolls around I will actually put some research in to what they're promising and stuff to make my vote with at least a little knowledge behind me. Which is a lot more then I can say for the people we've just watched, I just hope that that's a really poor sample of the american population (which it more then likely is, it's just one small area of a huge country and didn't ask the greatest range of people).

You do realize the video is cut so they don't show any people who actually care about politics, right? It's unfair to judge the whole population of voters on it then. And some people just don't care about politics. We have some of those people on this board as you should well know. Saying our priorities are a joke because of this video is insulting and ignorant so I REALLY hope you weren't doing that wink.gif

I was looking for the video that was posted here a while back, that basically showed how people will manipulate polls and videos by simply showing the ones that you want to show.

If you ask enough people a question eventually you'll have enough idiots to make a video.

This one even makes it really obvious because at one point it cuts to a guy who is clearly the second guy to be talked to and is all like 'Yeah I kinda like agree with what he said' or whatever, so obviously the first guy knew what he was talking about and said something worthwhile, so they hacked him out and went for the friend who didn't. tongue.gif

I would have to agree. While a lot of our educated would have good answers, unfortunately they make up a small amount of our population so overall you do get people who just follow the media. Like that woman in the beginning said, she just follows the newspapers and television, AKA the media. I suppose it is the easy way out though.

what other ways can you follow the elections? tongue.gif

You do realize that the chances that Ron Paul will be in the presidential elections is pretty close to 0%, correct?

Only if you use several sources, using only one or two will be very lopsided.

Ok I understand this video is cut to show only those who doesnt know anything about the candidates, but I believe a very high percentage of american voters are just like this, so because of that, I think this video is a good and legit example.

The internet, political magazines, etc. It's not like watching the T.V or reading the newspaper is bad, but if that's the only source you get your information from then your judgment is bound to be biased.

90% of the information on the internet is taken from the media to begin with, it's all circulated and critiqued but that is normally the origin.
