okay, so as a few of you might know, i fucking love my karaoke.
and the monthly finals at Buffalo Wild Wings was last night.
so i go in with most of the usual gang (austin, nick, bonnie, etc..) and i go to pick out my songs... sadly, i they didn’t have "Careless Whispers" which i’d actually been "practicing". so i made "Iris" by the Goo Goo Dolls as my first pick, and "Take it Easy" as my second pick.
alrighty! i’m set to go!
so i was 6th in line to go, and as the night went on, it looked like i had a good shot at winning. well the 3rd person to go up.. wow, she could sing. and she sung like, noticeably better than i would... however, i had one trump card. charisma, baby!
so i go up, and i proceed to do IRIS

yes, that chick i called on the stage was another contestant. i had just met her that night.
and yes, i did get her number!

i rocked it. omg.
so the night goes on. and they tally up the scores and he starts naming the placers...
"3rd place...."
not me, which i figured it wouldn’t be.. i’m just like, "okay i’m next.."
"2nd place... Brenda!"
me, nick, and austin suddenly freeze... and i’m like "omg... no way..."
"1st place... THE JOE!!"
HOLY FUCK!! we go crazy.
and here’s my prize money.
so we were all super stoked and excited. what a GREAT night, got cash, got a number... y’know, we’re on top motherfuckers! LET’S GO TO IHOP AND CELEBRATE!!
so we get there, and right after we walk in, the lady who sits everyone looked at me and was like "hey, you’re that singer guy, right? you’re always the best!" LOL. so nick starts freaking out "dude, everyone fucking knows you!! XD"
so we get seated, and within minutes the manager walks over and sits down with us and starts chatting us up. then he asks for our names...
"austin"
"nick"
"the joe"
so he starts writing some shit down and hands us these cards
LOL!!! that’s right, we have VIP cards for IHOP now!! we (and anyone with us) get 20% off our bill. that’s more than the military discount!! XD
omg... amazing!
then we get our waitresses myspace and finally call it a night. i mean, holy shit. that’s some crazy stuff. i had a TOTAL blast.
now, to add icing to the cake, things were nice between me and kory when i got home (hurray), but that’s something i won’t talk about here.
anyway! w00000t!
we’ll probably hit another bar tonight, for a last hurrah, since monday me and austin hit the field (bleh...)
ahhhhh... i want a beer right now
