    I was iced as a premium member for cheating...when I didn't even cheat. =/

It's a pain in the ass. I don't know if they've changed it but the only way to cancel a subscription is calling or canceling it through the portal. If your banned you have no access to the portal and the phone calls take forever.

I know people who have been iced despite being premium, I don't think it makes much difference.

    Same.

Premium really isn't even that special anyway. In a nutshell, you pay real money for a prettier layout and some more chances to earn a little bit more NP than everyone else. tongue.gif

Truthfully I have no idea why I continue to pay for premium. I guess I just like having one more neopets related thing. It sucks and if I wasnt totally addicted to neopets I would cancel but I cant its like crack.

Mmm I know how you feel. That's why I got premium as well. The only way that will successfully break neo addictions everytime is getting frozen (assuming you're account is quite good). I know this because getting frozen 3 times broke my addiction (the first one by far the most painful).

Like Cory, I was frozen while being premium for cheating, despite being entirely legit. And like Cory it took ages to cancel (ended up paying for a month and a half for a frozen account), and they didn't even reply when I requested a refund.

But you don't HAVE to cancel by ringing. They offer international support through email, but will tell you to ring if you're from the states.

There is some suggestion that they do look the other way a little bit. Minor stuff that would usually get you frozen, can be overlooked if it happens rarely on a premium account, although... new premium members are treated differently again to charter premium members.

I don't belive they had the email support back when I had it, If they did then I was oblivious to it. I was a charter member...before charter existed. >.< I actually remember when they made the carter member section inside the premium forums.

I first got it when they created the invite system. Virtually had to beg for an invite but I got one within the first day XD

I remember when that came out. We got ten invites to give out to whomever. Then later on they added the rewards. Those where the days when you said on the general chat board " giving out premium invites, neomail me for one." and you'd actually get a dozen or so neomails. By the time charter came out though it was really hard to give away invites.

Yes, I have. I made glitter graphics and names for people for free. But I think since people started telling me they wanted to give me something while I kept saying no I got frozen for asking nps/pets etc. I always said no but I did got items. We didn't had the refuse button for gifts and all that stuff. So yeah.. never got my account back.

Don't forget about the super shop wiz man! That thing rocks my pink socks, really. And the ads I always find very annoying. When your premium they dissapear. I like that. Except for the whole upper layout to dissapear as well :-/
