Uh, that would be exactly why.

The harder it is to obtain something, the longer you play on the site, etc, etc.

....but you can't get them period.

In order to get the stamp album avvies, does your album have to be complete and stay complete?...or can you remove them afterwards and still keep the avatars?

I don't think you can remove stamps at all.

There are still a few floating around from people who haven't put them in their Stamp Collection.

Just because the only non-player way of obtaining something was cut off doesn't mean it isn't around period. As long as the last ones in circulation aren't used then they're still obtainable. tongue.gif

And no, you can't remove stamps at all after you've used them.

Sooner or later there will be none left though tongue.gif. Then what do we do?

I suppose they could be re-released.

I'm guessing it was an abused glitch or something.

P-sticks were a mystery pic prize from a long time ago. I remember I bought one right after they were given out for either 600k or 800k.

The rarest item I've ever owned was either fish negg or the wine set before I got froze. Unless you count the 15 Magical Meerca Plushies I had stocked up on when they retired. tongue.gif

Well, when there are none left then all you can do is cry about not getting one before they were all gone.

TNT doesn't re-release retired items, there's a reason they were retired and putting them back out into circulation defeats the purpose. tongue.gif

You can't buy Retired items in shops but you can still get them from random events. They could also be given away on one of the wheels......so it would be possible for them to be re-released in some form.

I guess, but why would TNT want to? You have to remember they like to make everything practically impossible.

That and if they re-released old retired stamps then anyone who DID manage to complete their stamp albums with the hugely inflated prices would have a field day bitching at TNT.

    Really, it wouldn't be fair.

It's only the same as someone having an item worth 100k then Tarla gives it away. Sure it's not as extreme....but TNT still do it.

Those aren't old retired items that they promised they'd only give out for that ONE offer though.

    It's not the same.

Sorry man, but the fact they are retired does not mean they would never do it.

It's always a possibility. This is TNT we are talking about.

Yeah, I'd like to see them do it after they advertised all over the offers page "These stamps will never be released again! Get them now in this limited time offer!" dry.gif

Can we still see this offers page?...that still shows what they said about the stamps?

I said in my first post about this that it was released when stamps were first introduced. The page is long gone now.

Doesn't mean it wouldn't still be there somewhere. Hence the reason I asked. Plot pages from years ago are still around after all.

Plot pages are kept up as reference and for people who are newer to the site to look back and see Neopian history.

SPONSOR pages, such as what the Great Stamp Giveaway was aren't kept around. Especially not one from 2002 - which is what this one took place in.

This was back in the day when Neopets didn't freeze people at every left turn. We abused glitches, run alot of programes and was extermly careful when transfering and making money.

Guess what I have out of it now? A fucking waste of time.
