Oh man, sad to see him go =/ He was always having heart problems, so I guess it's not surprising like you said.

This is probably a little more for the older crowd. All though he is a pretty famous comedian so maybe you just need to get out more. tongue.gif

Can't say I'm sad over it. He was a funny mother fucker and he put out a shitload of albums, enough material which will take a while to swallow and get tired over. But I'll get bored eventually, and I'll get pissed that the only old-fuck comics today (Gallagher, etc.) suck compared to Carlin, especially in his last special.

He was my most influential comedian. His comedy routines are full of dirty words, but they really opened my eyes on religion, politics and other subjects he talks about.

Wow, can't believe one of my most favorite comedians died. sad.gif

I assume you're being sarcastic. If not well, people affect other people differently. I know that Carlin has left a huge impact on comedy and has no doubt influenced a lot of the younger comedians around today and will most likely continue to influence comedians of the future. It's a sad day for the comedy scene, but it's not like anyone outside his direct friends or family is going to loose sleep over it.

no im not being sarcastic. i dunno man he was a great guy and i have a lot of respect for him, it is natural to feel close to those you can relate or agree with. even though im not his relative or close friend like you said, we all live on the same earth and breathe the same air... and it makes me sad to think that he won't be around anymore to offer his opinion. for me the death of a guy like this means more than "what he did for comedy" tongue.gif

George Carlin was on of the last few remaining greats. He really did have comedic genius. That news came as a shock to me.
His will live on in dvds, movies, etc..

I think you're trying too hard to mourn. He always loved it when people died. I'm just going with the spirit, man. Except it kinda blows he won't put anything out in a graveyard.
