You'd save it as a gif or a png, but I don't think it can be done in paint.

No... no you can't, lol. Its an outstanding attempt, don't get me wrong. But its like trying to bake bread with a candle NOT ENOUGH POWER!!!!

Nope. This is the first time i've really messed around with graphics and it's quite fun, but my job doesn't use anything like this and I don't think I'd want to spend the $700 bucks or whatever just to have fun at home.

You could always try Paint.NET or GIMP, they're both free.

Artweaver is also a nice free program.. Kinda works the same as openCanvas I suppose

I think you should give it a shot. Then He'll have more to pick from. There some really good work in here. Breadfan if you can that in Paint, you need Photoshop or a free alternative.
