It isn't a convention just for dragons. xD
It has other things; an art section, robot battles, and parades.

But I would go to see them in concert anyway, why not go and browse around at some art/make fun of some people in the process?

I did. I know it's not all about dragons, but it's the theme so it's the same thing.

Hmm... can't say i've ever been to one of these computer fests before, sound kinda lame to me. Plus i don't think they really host them in the UK. The closest thing i went to was an EA games convention with school... they gave us a lecture on graphics in their new tiger woods game and some wrestling game and then had a mini tournament on burnout 3. They also had some of those pods where you can play games like in shops for some of their unreleased stuff... but it was mostly crap . As much as i enjoy playing games i'm not really a hardcore enough gamer to go to or enjoy one of these things, i like a casual relaxing game of something with no stress of winning or whatever

Edt: We did get a free t-shirt, wallet and some other stuff at the EA thing though lol

Its not all about dragons, Its about everything fantasy including harry potter, star wars, and other sci fi things. I will take lots of pictures and show off my nerdyness when i get back
