Has anyone here had any experience with lip rings. I unno I was talking bout piercings with my friend today and she said I would look good with a lip ring. Im thinking more of a stud than an actual ring. I was thinking to ask someone in rl who has a lp but the only people that come to mind are the super emo/scene or gay guys who I dont talk to. I have seen it on some random dudes on the street/out whatever and I think they look pretty sick. And no I dont have any previous piercings. Im not an scene/emo kinda kid just I think it looks pretty sick.

Do you think its a good idea?

Any piercing besides the ears is too much IMO. Well, maybe belly button for women, but that is it.

Ye I was thinking getting an ear pierced but then I was like thats so played out. Half the azn dudes I know have one.

I have my tounge, and ear. used to have my eyebrow done but it ripped out when i was training. going to get more ear piercings. the ones where you get three on the top of your ears so that the loops all lay on each other I always liked those.

Ehhhhhhhhhh... never been a fan of the lop piercings to be honest. I mean really wouldn't it be kinda awkward to kiss?

Bits of metal sticking through the mouth look horrible. Plus, from a distance, a stud through the lip just looks like a zit. Close up it just looks like a shiny zit.

I'm suprised how many people here feel so strongly against piercings. I really don't care either way, but I used to want to get a labret piercing. I decided against it.

My advice though- if you're not sure if you want it or not, you probably shouldn't yet. Making an extra hole in your face is a decision you shouldn't make unless you're sure.

nah i think they look fine......as long as u dont get an obnoxious ring for it keep it small so its not like WOW look at that in his lip....but then again it all depends on the person

not a big fan of piercings besides ear piercings on girls.. bellybutton piercings really disgust me and sadly almost every girl i know has theirs pierced. wouldnt recommend a lip piercing it might make you look like an emo not to mention it would be painful.

I vary on my opinion of piercings. Facial ones I am hesitant on. They leave scars, and with mouth ones you have to be careful that they do not rub your teeth or gums. I used to have piercings ( tongue and nipples ) but decided that as I got older and became a mom, that was not the impression I wanted to give people. Not that I am a prude, I have 6 tatts.

Some guys they look great on, and others they don't. My advice is to get a slip on and try it out, see how you like it

If you think guys look sick with them and think you'd look good with one, go for it. I've personally not had my lip pierced but I live with a girl that has two piercings in her lip and she's not had any bother with them or anything, she also kisses a fair few people so I can't imagine they get in the way much, whoever mentioned that .

If it's your first piercing though, I'd really recommend asking around a few different people with piercings to find out where the best place to go is, a lip piercing infection would be pretty damn aweful after all. I can't imagine your lip being too bad overall though really, I mean there's nothing but tissue there so it's kinda like a lobe really =S.

Anyway, I say go for it if you fancy it, but maybe give it a couple of weeks to see if it's just a phase in your head first or not, you might end up regreting it if do it too much on impulse .

it depends, i had dual lip rings for a while, they were awesome. then i took them out and got a labret, but kept a ring in it. then i had kids and had to lose all my body mods except my eyebrow (only one small enough they couldnt grab). it wasnt as "trendy" when i had all mine, late 90's to mid 2000's) but i loved the lip rings and labret (as long as it was a ring).

i say go for it (as long as your work doesnt have an issue).
