I just got a cold recently, and it's august. I couldn't even sleep properly tonight since my nose was half stuffed and half runny all over my freaking bed. It's also something that happens to me every other summer, I don't even know how I can get a cold in the middle of the summer... Do any of you catch a cold in the summer time?

It's funny because I have only just got over being ill with a cold and sore throat.

It does suck but not that much because in England summer is basically winter.

I tend to only get non-infectious diseases like chronic tonsillitis or appendicitis and rarely colds. I only get one cold of the year and it's usually only in february when it's the coldest. I don't really ever get the flu. Only gotten it once in my life and it's so weird... I'm sick all the time but never the normal diseases. It's like I have a strong immune system but a weak body or something.

I don't think so... the AC was on the same setting for at least 2 months now.

Colds have nothing to do with temperature, the only reason they're more common is winter is (suspected to be) because of people being indoors more, making it easier for the virus to spread.

I hope you get well soon. smile.gif

    I haven't had a cold in over 4 years tongue.gif biggrin.gif
But if your August is anything like ours has been this year, you'd be just as likely to catch one now as in the middle of December sad.gif

Edit: The coldness of current summer is keeping people indoors.. = less fresh air = more likeliness to catch a cold

I cut my finger while working a while ago pretty badly I had to get rushed to the hospital and they gave me a tetanus shot right in the ass sad.gif
I almost died, apparently it was because my finger made my arm unavailable or something but if they would have checked my record I had already gotten a tetanus shot just a few months before mad.gif
