well hell-o everyone. sorry i kinda disappeared there for a bit. had a ton of shit going on. went on a couple of weekend trips, and generally just been busy studying for a promotion board i have coming up next week. had a looooooong tiring, pretty awesome/bleh weekend (if that makes any sense)

to start off with, i FINALLY got to see NINE INCH NAILS in concert. and *wow*. that was seriously the greatest show i've ever seen, and i've seen quite a few shows!!

so yeah, i was pretty close to stage, and the concert kicked MASSIVE amounts of ass... only downside? i walked through my door 1am saturday morning and had to be at work by 830 saturday morning to pull a 24 hr duty shift. x_x

still very much worth it, and after recouping sunday, i am now back and ready to try to be active again

i've also started working on a new musical project. it's a small industrial death metal group called "Krudd (formerly known as SHATT)"

we've finished our first song "soylent auction" (which i will try to upload a piece here), and another i'm working on called "sack of grief"

well CPL is more of a sideways promotion. i guess they could give it to me if they wanted, but i'm going for SGT baby!

and as far as studying, it's mostly working on correspondence courses and trying to memorize the damn NCO Creed XD

Yeah I was field promoted to CPL at a ER in Ballad, Iraq.

And NCO creed = NOTHING to Infantryman creed. HAHA
Since your reserves do you have to go through that warrior leadership training?

reserves? i'm active duty, yo! all the college classes i took i had to take during my lunch hour! XD

and yeah, infantry tends to have more CPLs, just because that's pretty much the only MOS that actually needs them , any other MOS, and it's basically a slap in the face lol

well, i guess i was just lucky enough to have been in the same unit my entire career thus far... and they weren't even activated as a unit when i first got there!

i was originally put on an MP in lieu of mission when we got our orders, but the commander and our section chief pulled me off that because they needed a high-speed clerk for another mission. so BAM.

dude, i'm working on a medical degree. i'm sorry but in my humble opinion that's slightly more respectable than continuing to fight a war that no one else believes in.

i did my time, and i worked my butt off, i'm not planning on making a career out of this
