Mmk so basically I have been a bit of a naughty girl as far as the methods with which I have always previous aquired my music. However I'm sort of hoping that I'll have a job soon and I'm also wanting to have more CDs so I can play music in the kitchen whilst I cook ect. Plus...I just feel bad that I have 1500 songs and maybe 4 albums to show for it. However, just because I want to go legal, doesn't mean I want to pay through my ears, so, does anyone know any good online shops that don't rip you off for CDs? I know Play.com, it's my first call for everything, but I want to look around a bit more, except I'm rather out of my depth when it comes to purchasing music tongue.gif.

So yeah, help is very much appreciated happy.gif.

Edit: Oh yeah, and I'm English, so American sites probably aren't that much good for me, so really this is just a shout out to UKers tongue.gif.

amazon always has people trying to get rid of old cds for a good discount. I suppose ebay would probably have the same deal, though I haven't really looked.

I haven't tried amazon actually, I've kinda boycotted them since last year when I ordered something and it told me it'd take like 3 months to get to me tongue.gif. Plus play.com were invariably cheaper!

I'd have to buy a CD writer though sad.gif. Though I guess it'd still work out cheaper fairly quickly, I'll think about it.

I thought you only wanted to buy cds because you felt bad. If you're happy to download and burn, you can get a cd writer for less than a tenner.

Amazon is usually pretty good especially if you buy a decent amount, cause shipping is free if you spend over $25

I've got stuff from iTunes before but I detest it, like you can only get it on 5 computers and each time I reformat it counts it as another computer, I think I've used like 3 turns already? So in another two, which to be fair will be a few years off, I'll just lose that music, it sucks =/. Plus you just don't get the same amount of freedom with the music, you can't change the format or anything, I remember I downloaded music from another place once and it was in a format my Mp3 player didn't support and I couldn't change it x-x. Annoying.

Anyway, cheers for the suggestions guys happy.gif.

you realize you can pick up a cd writer for around $10 a dvd writer for around $50 and best buy always has sales on a 50pk for $8 on cd's not to mention they price match staples, circuit city, walmart and other brick and mortar stores.

Then you can mix your music and not buy an album for only 2 songs

if you want to go the legal route may I suggest a pawn shop?
