I can't get any shockwave game to load. They either don't load at all - just a grey screen, or a fortnight ago some of them would partially load but be entirely unresponsive to any clicking and freeze up.

Have tried my own computer and John's computer and the same problem happens.

Does that happen for everyone? Is there a way to fix it?

Try re-installing the latest version of Shockwave player.

Hmm. Try using a different browser as it might not be installing to the browser you're using.

I've had identical problems. Using firefox, some shockwave games don't load at all, and other ones play just fine. In my case, 'the last smiley' doesnt even load, but i can play castle battles just fine.
