So I was going to make a full force stock manager program when I hit a sigh I'm not gonna have enough time to make the sell part of the program. You used to be able to sell all your stocks with one POST code. Now you have to sell them how you bought them (like 1000 shares at a time). This would take me forever to do right now and with finals coming up its an lolno.

Would there by any interest for a program that does the following:
  • Shows ALL Stocks (organized with all the information)
  • Show All Buyable Stocks (Same type of format just excluding those you can't buy atm)
  • Automatic updating of information
  • Buying stocks
  • Shows your portfolio (and keeps it updated)
  • A stock log showing changes since you opened it (like Buzz 15 -> 17) or if its stayed the same (Buzz [15])
  • Manual Updating (For those who can't be bothered to wait 5-10 minutes)

No need for a poll because of any people would use it its worth it, not a majority thing.

    Really good idea.

I would have it manage stocks in 1000 share increments. Like a variable or something. Would this be something running all the time? Or something I would have to click? Because it'd kind of defeat the point if i have to click it and run it. I might as well navigate and do it on my own.

Would it be possible to record the ups and downs of the stocks you own in a graph? So you could see what it peaked at for example?

Selling would be after the beta phase. It's not exactly a walk in the park dry.gif As of now just OP

If you can get it to export xml of the data you could always do some graphs in flex and have them embedded in the program. tongue.gif

Flex is actually really easy. It's one of the most simplest yet powerful frameworks I've used on the web side. Plus it looks uber sexy smile.gif

And the flex builders are free. smile.gif
