I keep getting really close with gravity mode and then failing short by about 50 points.
I don't know why they have a habit of updating avatars to the new game but also making it harder.

Yea, I do it on gravity mode as well because it's much easier to get more points that way. If you think about it though, If you got two fish neggs, and usually last with at least a total of 20 neggs, you'd be pretty close to the high scores. That'd be awesome but I just mainly want this avatar.

Yeah, if you managed 2 fish neggs you'd be pretty squarely in line for a trophy so long as no major mistakes happen.
The thing is I can happily get 200-300 points without any major 100+ point neggs coming along, but if I were to get a fish negg I seem to totally fuck up the rest of the game. I never seem to get the 200-300 and THEN get the fish negg

That's the exact same with me, I get excited when I get a fishnegg so I get all happy then just mess up like you said. I average aroudn 200-300 as well with just yellow neggs. I just need that last green egg before I died and I would have succeeded. (Not sure if that's how you spell succeeded or if it's even a word.

I have never gotten that avatar ever. I usually get pretty close, but always am 100+ points short. Bleh.
