It's too easy for us to find a scapegoat, a victim, and harass and blame everything on them. Enough is enough. This is something that is particularly common for the site especially recently. Everyone has been especially viscous against each other. We have always had our own little cliques on codex, but this has honestly gone more extreme than I have ever seen it. We are all biting at each others heels and trying in every possible way to make the others look bad. Everybody thinks that THEY are the victims and that they have done nothing wrong. Everybody that they have venomous words for, deserves it.
Maybe this might be true. Maybe sometimes people do deserve it, and fine. But this is all too much. People do change. People sometimes do take in consideration the criticism that you have for them. It might take some time for them to change, but they do eventually. Treating people to be the same exact person you think they were a year ago is unfair. Maybe you've come back from a year haitus. The people around you are not the same as they were. Codex is not the same as it was.
In the case of Kitsune, she may not have always had the most tolerance for everybody around her, but I ASSURE you, she has tried hard. Maybe her crime is simply caring too much about what goes around here. But some of you have driven away the hardest working active person here. She did not always deserve the constant comments this community has made towards her. A lot of you assumed that she was the same person that she was a year ago every time she let your comments or someone else's get to her. But I imagine at least some of you would react the same way if just about every single action you take, every post you make had animosity from the very people you tried to help.
I am not by any means saying you should respect somebody just because they're staff. I'm not saying you should even like them. Kitsune is not a lone case in this. Many of you, including myself, have scapegoats that you want to lynch every single time something bad happens. These people aren't responsible for every single fall, so stop it. This site is meant to be a community. Act like it. You don't need to like everybody here. In fact, no one will like everybody here, but please, for the sake of the site try to get along. Once again this goes for everybody including myself.
tl;dr: Stop being jerks towards each other, and give others the respect they deserve. Maybe once we get along instead of trying to drive each other away. Maybe this site will attract new members and get more lifeblood instead of driving them away with this obvious tension and hatred within the member base.
